SPIRIT LEVEL AUDITIONS JUNE 29, CALLBACKS JUNE 30

Evergreen Players is holding auditions for their fall production of Spirit Level, Written by Pam Valentine, Directed by Paul Newman. Evergreen Players uses the Community Standards for Theatre in Colorado.

SYNOPSIS: Jack and Susie are the bored ghosts “haunting” their English country cottage. Mark, the estate agent, shows the young Simon and Felicity the cottage for rent. Jack was a celebrated mystery writer and Susie his muse, with some special (even for a ghost) talents. Simon is a struggling mystery writer who believes the cottage’s ambiance will help him finish his first novel. Felicity is his encouraging wife whose mother, Marcia, disparages the unemployed Simon. Throw in a Guardian Angel who once was an elementary school science teacher, and you have a spirited comedy played in the style of the Thin Man films (William Powell and Myrna Loy) of the mid30s/early 40s. Please visit the Denver Public Library for DVDs, or see trailers on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9cnYeFFeC4
