Creative Nations is looking for various production staff to support the launch of the inaugural First Storyteller’s Festival (FSF). FSF is a brand new festival focused on developing works for the stage by Native artists across Turtle Island. The festival will take place from Sept. 30-Oct 6 2024 in various venues across Boulder Valley, in Colorado.

Positions are all Colorado local (no transportation) except where listed:
– Two Directors (can be non-local): 1 for reading (one week travel for festival week only), 1 for workshop production (will need to be in Colorado for three weeks for rehearsal before the festival)
– Workshop Production Designer (lightweight design across disciplines; no full build; simple implementation ; budget for sourcing materials and crew)
– Workshop Production Dramaturg (3 weeks)
– Workshop Production Stage Manager (3 weeks)
– Teaching Artists (single workshop date)
– Local student interns (2-3 month duration)

These positions are open to all to apply, through preference will be given to Indigenous artists, and then other BIPOC artists beyond that. All positions include industry standard compensation for the Denver Metro area, free tickets to all festival events and some meals throughout festival week. 

Reading director – $300 plus travel & accommodations
Workshop director – $1500 plus travel & accommodations
Production designer – $1000
Dramaturg – $1000
Stage Manager – $1500
Teaching Artists – $300 per workshop
Student Interns – $250 stipend
