Welcome to the delightfully quirky village of Kulyenchikov, where for nearly 200 years a mysterious curse has left every resident hopelessly… and hilariously… foolish. Into this topsy-turvy world arrives Leon Tolchinsky, an idealistic young schoolteacher determined to break the curse through the power of education.

But when Leon falls head over heels for the beautiful Sophia—a young woman whose heart is as pure as her mind is bewildered—he discovers that time is running out. If the curse isn’t broken within 24 hours, Leon must choose between abandoning the woman he loves or joining the village as a fool forever.
