Visionbox Studio Theatre 501(c)3, a professional actor training program and independent production company, is looking to expand staff and budget in 2023. The company celebrated 12 years of operations on December 1, 2022 and the Board, with Founding Artistic Director Jennifer McCray Rincon, is currently planning to grow the company by adding more staff, while also working towards accreditation by creating a 2-year certificate program through the National Association of Schools of Theatre.

The first step in this expansion requires hiring a Director of Development. The qualified candidate should have a minimum of a college degree and professional experience with non-profit development including grant writing, private fundraising, and financial management. Experience with nonprofit theatre development is preferred, but candidates with similar experience are encouraged apply. A qualified candidate will work closely with Jennifer McCray Rincon. Ms. Rincon is a graduate of Yale University and the Yale School of Drama Directing Program. She was the Head of Acting at the National Theatre Conservatory at the DCPA for almost two decades until founding Visionbox in 2010 with colleague/actor Bill Pullman.

The company would like to fill the position as soon as possible. This is an independent contractor position with a minimum salary of 5% of all funds raised by the applicant. Hours to be mutually determined by the Artistic Director and Applicant. The primary work can be done remotely.
