Visionbox Studio Season 16 Auditions

Visionbox Studio, now entering its sixteenth season in September, will hold auditions for all actors interested in performance work and professional actor training.

Season 16 productions will include:

American Addict, written by Jennifer McCray Rincon, to be performed at Free Recovery Community and multiple other venues.
The Grief Project, a new devised piece created by Jennifer McCray Rincon, Ryan Canaday, and the Donor Alliance.
The Othello Project, Visionbox Studio’s founding production, an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Othello intercut with contemporary scenes of domestic violence.
A Gypsy Journey by El Javi and Jennifer McCray Rincon, a music, dance, theater and design piece telling the story of Javi’s journey from Mexico to the United States.

Classes will include:

Chekhov/Ibsen/Strindberg
Solo Shakespeare Projects
British & American Comedy
Archetypal Acting (Brecht & Greek plays)
Contemporary Plays of the Last Decade

All actors interested in taking Visionbox Studio’s text-based, graduate-level study of the Five Questions and acting in our intermedia, low-friction, contemporary productions must audition for Founding Artistic Director Jennifer McCray Rincon and other staff members.
