Visionbox Studio now entering its 16th Season in December is a professional actors’ studio and new play production company. Founded by Jennifer McCray Rincon and actor Bill Pullman in 2010, the company has continued to offer graduate level actor training while developing new works that focus on the social and human issues of our time. The Assistant position is a part time paid internship. The qualified candidate will work with Ms. Rincon 20 hours per week on the day to day operations of the company including managing rehearsal calls, organizing meetings, helping with fundraising, marketing, selection of material, partnerships, recruitment and more. The assistant to Ms Rincon will also be able to attend all classes for free as an actor, director, or writer. We prefer an artist with an undergrad degree or graduate degree related to theatre. This staff position is an excellent way to learn and practice graduate level technique while also learning more about non-profit management and operations. It is also a good way for artists between college and grad school to get more training and experience to help them be admitted to top programs. Please submit resume, headshot, 2-3 letters of recommendation, and a letter of intent asap. We will interview applicants immediately and hire someone ASAP. Jennifer Rincon is a graduate of Yale University BA Theatre Studies program and The Yale School of Drama MFA Directing program. She was the Head of Acting at the National Theatre Conservatory at the DCPA for 18 years. She works in Spanish, French and English. This is a paid internship, $200 per week for 20 hours max, and FREE Tuition for all classes
