This production will utilize 20 actors (adults and kids), understudies, as well as 5 off-stage Swings. We are casting strong triple threats with impeccable singing, acting, and dancing skills.

All roles are open to actors of all ethnicities/races, gender identities, and abilities. All are welcome and encouraged to audition.

All roles are paid a $500 rehearsal stipend and a per show rate between $55 and $70. Swings are paid a $500 rehearsal stipend and $100 per week on-call stipend for the run, plus a $70 per-show rate for any shows they cover.

No AEA/Equity contracts are available for this production.

Child Actors (12-17) – Video Submissions

Requirements
• 16 – 32-ish measures of a song
• Short monologue or tell us a story about your favorite Christmas or a family memory.
• Upload a digital copy of headshot (or picture) and resume

Please submit your video via email to thacauditions@gmail.com no later than Friday July 10th. Please ensure videos are not locked or set to private so that the Directing Team can access them.

Adult Actors (18+) – In-Person Auditions

Sunday July 12, 2026 – 10am to 3pm (will extend to 5pm based on necessity)
Location: Town Hall Arts Center – 2450 W Main St, Littleton, CO 80120

Requirements
• 16-32-ish measures of a song in the style of the show.
o Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided.
• Short comedic monologue in the style of the show.
• Hard copy of headshot and resume (please also upload a digital copy prior to the day of auditions at the link below)

Video Submissions

(Adult) Josh Baskin (Lead – Male)

Josh is the show’s protagonist. He is a 13-year old who, after wishing to be “big,” is trapped in the body of a 30-year old and must now navigate adulting while trying to figure out how to return to his teen self. Strong comedy skills.

Susan Lawrence (Lead – Female)
Age: 25 – 40
Vocal Range: Mezzo (G3-F5)
Dance: Mover
Race/Ethnicity: AnySmart, business-minded Vice President of MacMillan toys. Has a hidden giddy-schoolgirl excitement is uncovered as she gets to know Josh.

Mrs. Baskin (Supporting – Female)
Age: 40+
Vocal Range: Mezzo (G3-F#5)
Dance: Non-Dancer
Race/Ethnicity: Any
Josh’s mother and the heart of the show – caring and nurturing, and also struggling with raising a teenager.

Paul Seymour (Supporting – Male)

Vocal Range: Baritone (Ab3 – Eb4)
Dance: Mover

Vice President of Product Development. Josh’s rival in business, friendships, and potential romance.

George MacMillan (Supporting – Male)

The founder and owner of MacMillan Toys. Kind and encouraging of Adult Josh and an overall good guy.

Kid Roles

Innocent, funny, and obsessed with video games and Cynthia. After an unfortunate incident in front of her involving his height and a carnival ride, he makes a wish to be “big,” thinking that being an adult will solve all of his problems.

Billy Kopecki – Male
Age: Character is 13 years old
Vocal Range: Tenor (F#3 – F5)
Dance: Dancer
Race/Ethnicity: Any
Young Josh’s best friend – supportive, street smart, and funny. He is the only one who knows what happens to Josh and he does his best to help Josh navigate adulting while searching for a way back to his teenage self.
