Job Description:

Theatre Aspen is seeking a Sound Engineer for our Fall Education production of The Drowsy Chaperone.

Engineer will be responsible for…

Connecting and setting up mic racks and sound board in space with assistance from space Production Manager
Create and execute mic plot and mixing
Run QLab of sound effects and backing tracks (responsible only for running, not designing)

Venue: The Black Box Theatre at Aspen High School

Schedule:

Arrival Wednesday November 2nd by 3:30pm

Departure on Sunday November 13th between 5-6pm following strike

 

Designers must be able to commute up to Aspen. Travel mileage will be reimbursed and time compensated for as part of the total designer fee. It is recommended that designers travel by car to Aspen, it will ease the trip and provide more effective transportation between housing and the theatre.

Engineer will have free time during the day outside of rehearsal hours. Rehearsals are held after school in the afternoon/evening hours.

Job Type & Compensation:

Part-time, Temporary, Contract

$1,250 Fee

Mileage reimbursement at $0.58/mile

Additional travel time stipend TBD by length and style of commute

Housing provided by Theatre Aspen

Candidates are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19
