General Auditions for the Colorado Renaissance Festival

Hear Ye, Hear Ye….. Calling all Lords, Ladies, Noble types, and Village Folk…..

The Colorado Renaissance Festival is a premier summertime, family-friendly theatrical experience celebrating its 46th season. The 2023 Festival runs from June 17th through August 6th (weekends only).

The Village of Larkspurshire, England is excited to receive a visit from Good King Henry and his adoring wife Queen Anne. They are accompanied by many of the royal family and a host of Dukes, Duchesses, Counts, and Countesses, along with foreign royalty and nobility. The Mayor of Larkspurshire has declared this to be a Festival Day to celebrate the arrival of the royals and their noble guests. He has all the villagers in an uproar preparing the festival and he has spared no expense to host nationwide entertainment, artisans, street performers, and musicians.

Rehearsals begin the weekend of May 13th and will be held over the following five weekends with dress rehearsals on June 10th and 11th (No Rehearsals over Memorial Day Weekend).

Auditions are open for members of the royal court, villagers/street performers, and musicians/singers. All performers must commit to all 8 Saturdays and Sundays from June 18th through August 7th, the rehearsals prior to opening day, and selected promotional events.

General Auditions will be Saturday, April 1st and 2nd  at Larkspur Fire 9414 S Spruce Mountain Rd, Larkspur, CO 80118
—Please prepare a 1-minute comedic monologue and be ready for cold readings and some improv.

Musical Auditions will be Saturday, April 8th at Larkspur Fire 9414 S Spruce Mountain Rd, Larkspur, CO 80118
—Musicians/Singers please prepare a 2-3 min period piece and be ready to for cold readings and some improv.

Compensation: $400-$720 depending on role.
