The Bug Theatre is seeking a part-time Marketing Manager to join our team to provide Denver a unique and diverse theater experience. This position will oversee the organization’s social media and online presence, provide marketing support to Bug programs and renters, and serve as the theater’s primary media contact.

​Responsibilities include the following:

  • Prepare and distribute weekly email blasts to the theatre’s patron base with details on upcoming programming
  • Create and maintain the theater’s monthly paper “Bug Buzz” calendar advertising upcoming programming
  • Oversee the theatre’s social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, making regular posts to promote upcoming events
  • Maintain the theatre’s website and online calendar
  • Prepare and distribute press releases for special Bug events
  • Create and maintain local media contacts to promote upcoming events
  • Manage marketing campaigns for regular Bug programs, special events, and fundraisers
  • Collaborate with showrunners and renters to ensure each program is appropriately marketed
  • Ensure all pre-show and lobby advertising is current

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience executing a marketing campaign from conception through execution
  • Experience using Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for business promotion
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible workload, which fluctuates month-to-month based on the theatre’s schedule
  • Graphic design and basic video editing skills are a plus
  • Experience with Wix and MailChimp a plus

Compensation is $25 per hour, estimated 20 hours per month.
