Organizational Summary:

The Arts Hub is a nonprofit, educational arts center for all ages, where creativity, culture, and community collide. We are home to community theater, a community choir, summer camps, and after-school programs in theater, dance, music, and fine art. The Arts Hub is committed to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive space where all people, regardless of their identity, can find and express their authentic selves in the arts. 

Position Summary:

The Master Carpenter will be the primary person in charge of building a core set and, as necessary, other scenic elements for the Arts Hub’s winter productions. Said set will be designed to be “recycled” across two children’s productions in December 2024 and one adult, semi-professional production in January 2025.

The Master Carpenter will report directly to the Arts Hub Technical Director. The Master Carpenter will be expected to be familiar with commonly used power tools and set building procedures, read renderings as created by the Set Designer/Technical Director, and adhere to a build schedule as set by the Technical Director.

Here are the projects and dates. Building and painting for these projects will cumulatively begin no earlier than October 21, 2024. Build times will generally be Monday-Friday, 9 AM-3 PM.

Tech Rehearsals – December 2-4, 2024

Performances – December 5-8, 2024

We Are Monsters

Tech Rehearsals – December 9-11, 2024

Performances – December 12-15, 2024


Tech Rehearsals – January 11-16, 2025

Performances – January 17-26, 2025


Compensation is $2,000 for Anastasia, and $1,000 each for Alice in Wonderland Jr. and We Are Monsters.
