Event Technician

SUMMARY: Reports to and assists the Theater Manager in the safe operation of the Performing Arts Center at Pinnacle Charter School. Provides general oversight of performance space when outside groups and organizations rent the complex.  This position is scheduled on an as-needed basis. There are no set hours weekly. However, rentals only occur 4pm-10pm on school days (Mon-Fri) & 8am-10pm on non-school days (Sat/Sun/School Breaks). Pay range is $20.00-$25.00 per hour DOE.

DUTIES: Set up and operate lighting, audio, and projection systems for various event genres (theater, dance, ensemble music, presentations, etc). Possess a wide range of theatrical systems knowledge across multiple disciplines. Willingness to learn where knowledge may fall short. Embrace a growth mindset.

Generate and execute technical reports for each event. Alert Theater Manager of any safety concern, equipment service or area for improvement. Ensure safe use of venue’s equipment. Store all gear and property appropriately. Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.

Maintain a high level of customer service while placing people over process. Guide renters through the rehearsal and tech process. Act as technical resource for outside A/V contractors when appropriate. Liaison with custodial and security staff.

Perform other duties as assigned.
