
Website Performing Arts Academy
The Performing Arts Academy is seeking an experienced music director for our Outreach program in Spring 2024. PAA’s spring and fall after-school outreach programs offer age-appropriate music and performance opportunities through immersive instruction and practice in singing, acting, dance, and basic music theory. Our experience and research shows that students benefit from PAA’s structured but strongly nurturing environment of instruction, mentoring, accomplishment, and camaraderie. Our core philosophy is that these influences positively impact each child’s character and supports a holistic education that includes arts, individual development and cultural enrichment.
Applicants must have larger cast music directing experience, and experience with and passion for teaching students with a wide range of previous theatre and music experience. Music Directors need willingness and ability to work collaboratively with a team that includes a director, choreographer and full tech team to help to create schedules and a strong plan for the process, and be excited to work creatively to teach students as well as choreograph.
This position will be at Little Raven Elementary school in Littleton. The show is Finding Nemo KIDS. Rehearsals and performances will take place there on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:45 – 4:30 pm beginning Thursday, February 8 and end with two evening performances on Wednesday and Thursday March 20 and 21st.
Local hires only; no housing or transportation available from PAA.
Background checks are performed on all hired faculty.
Compensation will be based on location and show starting at $1200 per hired position.
