ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a full-time (fixed-term) Senior Resident Teaching Artist. This position will report to the Program Director.

A person who works at MIA needs to wholeheartedly believe every young person is an asset to our community, deserves a clean slate and that their choices do not define who they are. Responsibilities will include serving as a Restorative Theatre™ facilitator and performer for programs in education and youth legal system, devising new theatrical works, supporting evaluation efforts, maintaining partnership relations and fundraising when appropriate.

LOGISTICS
-A reliable vehicle is required to travel to multiple locations throughout the Denver metro area. While our work is primarily based in Denver and Jefferson counties, we also provide programming in Adams, Arapahoe, and Boulder counties.
-A reliable phone for calls/texts.
-Per our policy, and the policy of our partners, all staff working with youth must have a fingerprint background check
-We work in school districts with large English Second Language learners and try to use as much Spanish as possible. Even if you do not speak Spanish you must be willing to learn key phrases.
-This is primarily a M-F job with occasional night and weekend availability needed.
-Mirror Image Arts’ office is located in Arvada.

Job Title: Senior Resident Teaching Artist (SRTA)
Reports To: Program Director
Start Date: July 27, 2026
Employment: Non-Exempt, Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
Term: Fixed-term: July 27, 2026 – June 30, 2027, with the potential for a one-year extension
Compensation: $20/hour, full-time (40 hrs/week) for the 48-week fixed term, plus benefits.
