I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change is a witty musical revue that tackles modern love in all its forms, from the perils and pitfalls of the first date to marriage, children, and the twilight years of life. Set in the modern world and told in a series of vignettes and songs I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change traces the overall arc of relationships throughout the course of a life.  The 2018 version features two new songs, revised lyrics, and dialogue throughout the show to reflect dating in modern times.

Woman #1/Jennifer – Lead Soprano

Man #1/Robert – Lead Tenor, Baritone

Woman #2/Melissa – Lead Alto

Man #2/Jordan – Lead Baritone

Auditions are Sunday, April 16, 9:00 –  10:30 am with cold readings from 10:30 -11:00 am, and Monday, April 17, 6-8:30 PM at 819 Big Horn Drive, in Estes Park, Colorado.  More explicit directions will be given prior to the auditions.

Vocal auditions will occur from 2 – 3:30 on Sunday and 6 – 7:30 on Monday with an additional hour each day for cold reads and vocal pairings from the script.

For your safety and ours, we require auditioners to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated (preferably boosted) against COVID-19,

Pay:  All roles are volunteer/non-paid. However, a $150 travel stipend will be paid to any actor traveling more than 20 miles to rehearsals/performances.

Using community standards for Theatre-Colorado

Prepare 16 – 32 bars of a musical theater selection that will demonstrate your vocal range and ability to portray the character.

Bring sheet music or a backing tape, audition form, resume, headshot, proof of COVID vaccination, and preferably boosters, and conflicts with the stated rehearsal schedules.

Rehearsals:

Music rehearsals will begin in late April or early May, M, W, Th, or possibly Sat. or Sun afternoon if other days can’t be worked out. Actors will be expected to know the music by June 12 when artistic rehearsals begin.

Artistic rehearsals will be M, W, and F, 7 – 9 pm, beginning June 12.  Rehearsals will be daily during tech week July 17-20.

Performances:  July 21,22, 28, 29, 7:00 PM, July 23, 2:00 PM
