Curious Theatre Company is seeking a young female identifying actor for the role of Plum in CULLUD WATTAH by Erika Dickerson-Despenza. Directed by Artistic Director, Jada Suzanne Dixon.

About the Play: This powerful and eye-opening play takes on the Flint Water Crisis and dives deep into the poisonous choices of the outside world, the contamination within, and how we make the best choices for our families’ futures. Seeking: Plum Age 9. Physically frail, arithmetically sharp African American girl. Curious, intuitive & wise. (NOTE: Although the character is 9 years old, we will consider any performer 12 – 18 years old that can fit the role.)
Curious performs on an AEA Small Professional Theatre Contract at Tier 3, which provides us 30 hours/week of rehearsals and 4 performances/week. It would be an 8-week contract. All positions are paid. We are looking for a non-equity performer for the role of Plum. $200 per week.
