Audacious Theatre is seeking a Sound Designer for the upcoming production “Project 7 Sins”. We are looking for someone with a creative spirit to work with our team to create an original, unsettling soundscape for our upcoming Halloween production. As a collaborative team, we are looking for someone who thrives in an environment where you communicate and bounce ideas off your fellow artists in multiple theatrical disciplines on a regular basis.

Responsibilities for this position include:

Collaborating closely with the Director, Assistant Director, Stage Manager, and Lighting Designer to design a soundscape that fits the artistic vision of the production
Attending and contributing to production meetings when requested
Sourcing and editing sound files for use in the production
Aiding in the recording/editing of voiceover for the production
Utilizing QLab software to create show playback tracks to be used during performances

Skills/Experience Required for this position include:

Experience using QLab software for theatrical/performance purposes
Experience sourcing and editing sound files for theatrical/performance purposes
Clear and prompt communication skills
Strong collaborative attitude


As Sound Designer, you will be paid a $400 stipend for your work at the end of the production. If you decide/are able to aid the production beyond the responsibilities listed above and stated in your contract, further stipend amounts may be added upon review by the Company Manager.
