What the Constitution Means to Me

By Heidi Schreck

Directed by Cassidy Willey

Playwright Heidi Schreck’s boundary-breaking play breathes new life into our Constitution and imagines how it will shape the next generation of Americans. Fifteen-year-old Heidi earned her college tuition by winning Constitutional debate competitions across the United States. In this hilarious, hopeful and achingly human new play, she resurrects her teenage self in order to trace the profound relationship between four generations of women and the founding document that shaped their lives.

An immersive evening of ghost stories as the audience travels through Thunder River Theatre Company.

Author’s Note: All of the stories related here are from personal experience. They are all based on fact. The hardest performance to consummate is recounting a supernatural story convincingly. The resistance of belief is especially high. It takes a total commitment to honesty to achieve success. It is the emotional recall of a disturbing event that is required.

Tiny Beautiful Things

Based on the Book by Cheryl Strayed

Adapted for the Stage by Nia Vardalos

Directed by Missy Moore

Based on the bestselling book by Cheryl Strayed and adapted for the stage by Nia Vardalos, Tiny Beautiful Things personifies the questions and answers that “Sugar” was publishing online from 2010-2012. When the struggling writer was asked to take over the unpaid, anonymous position of advice columnist, Strayed used empathy and her personal experiences to help those seeking guidance for obstacles both large and small.

Tiny Beautiful Things is a play about reaching when you’re stuck, healing when you’re broken, and finding the courage to take on the questions that have no answers.

These Shining Lives

By Melanie Marnich

These Shining Lives chronicles the strength and determination of women considered expendable in their day, exploring their true story and its continued resonance. Catherine and her friends are dying, it’s true; but theirs is a story of survival in its most transcendent sense, as they refuse to allow the company that stole their health to kill their spirits – or endanger the lives of those who come after them.
