“Wherever she was, there was Eden!” Eve wonders what the other Experiment is: a reptile? architecture? It has no hips; it tapers like a carrot. Adam remembers how peaceful and quiet the garden was before the new creature arrived. It keeps naming things; he never gets a chance to name anything himself.
