Read & Rant – Virtual Book Club (exploring plays written primarily by women)
June 15, 2020 @ 6:30 pm
Read & Rant is the Athena Project’s book club (in collaboration with the Tattered Cover Bookstore) which explores plays written primarily by women. Prior to the gathering, the audience is invited to read two or three scripts and meet every third Monday to discuss the works. Learn what makes a good script; how reading a play is different than a book, a movie, or spoken word; converse with invited guests as part of the monthly discussions and share opinions. These monthly FREE offerings to the community aim to raise awareness of the under-representation of women’s stories on stage.
The conversation on Monday, June 15th will focus on how technology is impacting our lives, especially in our current situation. Looking in the future, we will analyze if the use of robots will replace humans in some or many aspects of our lives. Invited guest will be Michael T. Starks.
