About the Artists
Jacob Dresch (Co-Director) is an Equity actor whom you may have seen in Breckenridge Backstage
Theater’s productions of It’s a Wonderful Life, The Importance of Being Earnest and Rumors or Colorado
Shakespeare Festival’s recent repertory season of The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Book of
Will, and The Alchemist. A classically trained clown, Jacob has been teaching at the collegiate level
since his graduate school days at the University of California, Irvine, where he received his M.F.A. in
Acting. He served for five years as an Instructor of Acting at the New York Film Academy (at their NYC,
Harvard, and Mumbai, India campuses) where he taught a vast range of courses specializing in physical
characterization, mask, clown, Shakespeare, voice, speech, and text analysis. He most recently served
as an Adjunct Professor of Acting at DeSales University, home of the Pennsylvania Shakespeare
Festival (where he has performed for a total of eight seasons). During his time as adjunct, the pandemic
struck. Jacob filled the vacuum of performance opportunities for upperclassmen by transforming tabletop
roleplaying games into an improvisational, collaborative script development tool that could thrive in a
remote setting. In addition to his collegiate work, he has also served as a lead instructor for Chautauqua
Institution’s Young Playwrights Program; engaging 3rd and 4th graders by teaching them how to tell their
own special stories. His acting resume and curriculum vitae may be found at www.JacobDresch.com

Chloe McLeod (Co-Director) is thrilled to return to Breckenridge Backstage Theatre after codirecting The Sound of Music this past spring. She is a Denver-based director, teaching artist, and actor. Credits include: Anna Karenina, A Christmas Carol, This is Modern Art (Denver Center Theatre
Company); The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Book of Will, You Can’t Take it With You, A Midsummer
Night’s Dream, The Odyssey (Colorado Shakespeare Festival); and many more. She is a teaching artist
with Denver Center Education and is passionate about creating an encouraging, professional
environment for all to connect creativity, dedication, and joy! Chloe is a proud graduate of the American
Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City.

About Breckenridge Backstage Theatre
Breckenridge Backstage Theatre (BBT) is the oldest year-round theatre company on the western slope.
In 1976, the theatre incorporated as Summit County’s first non-profit, with a desire to bring live
performance to the community. The artistic vision has continued to evolve and over the years has been
awarded with numerous Colorado Theatre Guild and True West Awards. In 2010, BBT received the
prestigious Colorado Theatre Guild – Outstanding Regional Theatre Award. In 2012, the Breckenridge
Town Council approved a $2.55 million renovation of the Breckenridge Theater. Construction on the
building began in Spring 2015 and completed in June 2016. Today it serves as the company’s main
performance space in addition to use of the 750 seat Riverwalk Theatre space as needed. In 2022, the
company led a national search for new leadership and recently appointed Chicago veteran arts leader
Jacqueline Stone as Producing Artistic Director, tasked with leading the next phase of organizational
growth and strategy. Annually the theatre produces 5-6 main stage productions, one community
production, one youth production, and a full set of classes and summer camps for ages 3 – 21.
