This Happy Breed and Golden Ticket Theatre are proud to present: Mean Girls (High School Edition).

Based on the hit 2004 film, Mean Girls (book by Tina Fey, based on her screenplay and Music/Lyrics by Jeff Richmond and Nell Benjamin) tells the story of Cady Heron, a teenage girl who finds herself in a suburban Illinois public high school after years of being home-schooled on the African savanna. Confronted with the animalistic social order of American teenagers, Cady devises a plan to topple the school’s queen bee Regina George and her cohorts: The Plastics.

Our production is cast entirely with High School students, and funded by This Happy Breed, a non profit organization dedicated to developing the next generation of theatre artists. Each student participating is doing so for free, enabling us to include young artists from a wonderfully diverse number of schools and backgrounds.

Mean Girls does contain mature content, and is recommended for ages 14 and up.
