Amplify, a series expressing Black art and excellence – a live streaming concert with limited in-person seating – (Monday, March 22nd, 2021 at 7pm)

March 22 @ 7:00 pm

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanites presents Amplify, a live streaming concert with limited in-person seating on Monday, March 22nd, 2021 at 7pm. Curated by Betty Hart the performers include: Abner Genece, Christopher Page-Sanders, Sheryl McCallum, Mary Louise Lee, and Trent Hines.

The Amplify Event Series is an extension of the virtual series that was implemented in June of 2020 following the murder of George Floyd and in response to cries for social justice. Initially, Amplify was designed to provide a platform for Black men and women to express their emotions, thoughts, and feelings through artistic mediums. The live event series expands upon the idea of providing a platform for marginalized artists. The Arvada Center is pleased to begin this series of live performances that will amplify voices that have not traditionally been heard – at the Center or beyond – with an evening curated by Colorado actor and director Betty Hart. Her selection of performances ranging from song to dance to spoken word expresses the depth of Black art and Black excellence.
