Colorado Gives Day
Colorado Theatre Guild is once again participating in Colorado Gives Day, a statewide initiative that allows you to choose from a wide variety of worthy organizations to support through a tax-deductible contribution. We had an amazing campaign last year, and thanks to dozens of donors, we met our goal which has allowed CTG to provide programming including the Unified Auditions, our first combined audition session, the annual Henry Awards, our continuing workshop series, as well as our advocacy for the arts and arts funding. We hope you will consider donating to Colorado Theatre Guild this season through the Colorado Gives Day platform. We are excited to announce that this year we have an Anonymous Donor who has agreed to match all gifts made to the Colorado Theatre Guild through Colorado Gives Day up to $5,000!!! Help us double our goal and support CTG’s work through a contribution, by going here today:
Over 40 Years
of bringing the Colorado Theatre community together
Colorado Theatre Guild was created to support the Colorado theatre community, entertainment businesses, and the theatre-going public. As an arts guild, we are a thriving and innovative organization that promotes the cultural, entertainment, and educational benefits of live theatre. Member organizations support CTG and help to keep theatre going strong in Colorado.
A Message From
On behalf of the entire Colorado Theatre Guild, thank you for supporting the power and wonder of live theatre this past season. Theatre making and producing did not get easier as we moved into an (alleged) post Pandemic world. Though there were sold out houses and much to celebrate, there is still great struggle for sustainability within the theatre community. Vibrant theatres shuttered its doors during the past season, and many theatres are still trying to unlock the mystery of getting audiences to return. Colorado artists are hyper aware of inflation, rising gas and food prices. It is harder than ever to make a living wage pursuing the passion of working full time in the arts. Despite all of the hardship, this beloved theatre community created uplifting and thought-provoking theatre that made us gasp, laugh, and take moments to pause. Thank you. Thank you for telling stories that stir our souls. To the playwrights, thank you! Everything starts with the spark you provide after countless rewrites and agonizing nights without sleep. To every performer, designer, director, producer, administrator, stage manager, and volunteer, thank YOU. Live theatre can’t happen without you. Please know that we, your CTG family, are rooting for you. We are cheering you on. We believe in you and the necessity of LIVE theatre—be it play, musical, immersive, small, medium, or large scale. We believe in you first-time producers and we are thrilled that the veteran producers are still working among us. We pledge to continue serving our community with the resources we have. We are here. We are listening. We are grateful to be part of the Colorado theatre community.
