"All Shook Up" Book by Joe Dipietro July 13 - August 8, 2010 Previews July 9 - 11 Main Stage Sing along with us to "Don't be Cruel," "Jailhouse Rock" and "Love Me Tender" as a square little town becomes "all shook up" when a motorcycle-riding roustabout rolls into town with a song in his heart and an eye for the ladies. All it takes is a little rock 'n' roll for the town to question its intolerance. With over 25 of Elvis Presley's greatest hits, this musical is full of mishap and mischievous madness that is sure to rock the house. From the author of the off-Broadway hit musical "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" and the winner of the 2005 Theatre World Award, "All Shook Up" is a great show for all ages. Although economic conditions have equated to hard times for many cultural organizations, the Arvada Center is excited about the potential of another recording-breaking season. The Center continues to meet or exceed its financial goals, due in part to programming changes that resulted in a 30% increase in subscriptions and a 50% increase in paid attendance last year.
"As we look to the next season, our goals are aggressive and our ambitions great. The 2009/2010 theater programming is robust, acknowledging the content and scope patrons want and expect," states Executive Director Gene Sobczak.
Subscription prices start at $150. Current subscribers may renew their subscriptions beginning April 3. New subscribers may reserve their subscriptions in mid-April and single season theater tickets go on sale August 10, 2009.
The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities is one of the nation's largest arts organizations, devoted to all aspects of the arts. We are generously supported by the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).
