The purpose of the Player's Guild is to bring good community theatre to the area at a reasonable price per seat.
Charles Ault started the Players Guild in 1936 as a means to put food on the table in the middle of the depression. A love for the theatre and a creative mind brought a group of talented community actors and actress together to provide the public with live entertainment. This concept was later passed on to his son Charley Ault, Jr. who now runs the Players Guild. By age 8 Charley was in his first play, and directing by age 26. He fully took over the business by age 29 at which time he had been married for 10 years, had a 9 year old son and a 5 year old daughter. He also was owner of The Guild at 1028 So. Gaylord St. The Players Guild performed there for 14 yrs after which they traveled around the city, performing in such places as Lorretto Heights & Houston Fine Arts Center for 8 years. In 1990 they found their new home at the Festival Playhouse at 5665 Old Wadsworth Blvd, in Old Town Arvada. Donna and Charley are still together to this day and that is why the Players Guild is still a success. Doing something they love, and doing it together. Without both of their hard work the business wouldn't be going strong today.

 | | Germinal Stage Denver is the runt stepchild of small non-profit theatres --a 28-year-old, 100-seat corner grocery of Thespis holding its own against the supermarkets. We're an actors' theatre, semi-rough, minimalist when we can afford it, doggedly hopelessly vaguely postmodern, but backpedaling forward to ritual, advancing rearward to modern, or sidestepping to shamelessly theatrical in more lucid moments. We have declared the battle against political correctness won and, licking our wounds, contemplate pro-cannibalism theme season. Immediate goal: search for wealthy but empathetic private patron. Immediate outlook: dismal to bleak.

MO Productions is Denver's newest Interactive Murder Mystery Comedy entertainment company. We produce original three-act murder mystery comedies designed to go around a full evening of dinner and dessert. We have public performances at The Broker Restaurant in downtown Denver 2-3 times a month, and are also available to travel to the location of your choosing, including Home Parties. We will travel anywhere within the greater Denver Metro area, and also travel farther to Pueblo, Wyoming, etc., and are available for your country club, private corporate party or charity fund raiser.
Our shows often spoof pop culture icons and actively involve the entire audience in the context of the show. Every production also selects six or more audience members to become actual characters in the show and we give them lines and props. We award prizes at the end of every performance for The Most Accurate and The Funniest ballot, as well as give parting gifts to our audience characters.

PHAMALy was formed in 1989 when a group of former students of the Boettcher School in Denver, Colorado, became frustrated with the lack of theatrical opportunities for people with disabilities. Our mission is to enable physically and mentally challenged performers to showcase their talents and abilities and to make the performing arts more accessible to everyone. As a theater group and touring company, we perform for businesses, schools, churches, special events and fundraisers. As a not-for-profit membership organization, PHAMALy is dedicated to producing traditional theater in nontraditional ways. Our summer musical productions are usually performed in the luxurious Space Theatre at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
We strive to empower our actors as they acquire and improve their acting skills. We are also working to educate theater professionals in methods of adapting their own productions to the needs of people with disabilities. Since 1989, PHAMALy has gained national recognition and has received numerous Denver Drama Critics' Circle Awards, Westword "Best of" Awards, Ovation Awards, and the Mayor's Award for Excellence in the Arts.

 | | The Upstart Crow is an ensemble acting company. A dedicated core group of actors not only supplies stage talent, but backstage support as well. They are the directors and the designers, the stage crew and the ticket takers. They guide the artistic direction of the company. They are facile with table saw, paintbrush, and sewing machine. It is not glamorous, but it means that decisions are made by actors. We cherish that. Our actors are a diverse group drawn from the Boulder community. A few currently hold or are working toward degrees in theatre, but the majority of our actors are simply members of the community who have an intense desire for and commitment to the language of these plays. Students, doctors, store managers, engineers, writers, secretaries, even the occasional CEO are the heart of The Upstart Crow.
